4-6+ inches is The Highest Projected Snowfall Total of All Four Major Networks

“How much are they saying we’re gonna get?” All four major networks have released their latest snowfall maps this morning. We’re gonna take a look at each of them and see who gets it right.

NBC4 has a widespread 3-5 inches across the board. This seems to include just about all of Maryland and a lot of Virginia. FOX5 has a widespread 2-4 inches for most of the area (with the 1-2 inch area in southern Maryland and the eastern shore). ABC7 is the most aggressive with 4-6+ inches going as far south as part of DC and including Montgomery, Howard, Frederick, and Loudoun counties. WUSA9 (CBS) also has a wide spread 2-4 inches. Each map can be seen individually below.

This will be a storm that comes through fairly quickly, with flakes starting tonight somewhere between 8pm and midnight. There will be plenty of energy with this storm and the cold weather will allow anything that falls to stick, so there’s a good chance everyone in the area sees at least a couple of inches by morning. The storm should be out by 8am and the sun should be out by Saturday afternoon. If tomorrow was a school day, we are certain schools would have been closed.
