New Rockville Speed Cameras Go Up Next Week

The Rockville City Police Department will begin deployment of speed monitoring systems in the 2500 block of Wootton Parkway, near the intersection with Fairwood Court.

The system uses portable cameras to monitor southbound traffic. They will begin monitoring the new location on or about Feb. 26, 2024. While the system will be fully functional, citations will not be issued. Beginning March 26, 2024, citations will be issued for vehicles exceeding the posted speed limit by 12 mph or more.
