Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a multi-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 5pm on Wednesday on southbound I-270 prior to exit 9 (Sam Eig Hwy).
Three lanes were blocked due to the crash, but have since reopened. Delays remain for approximately three miles, according to a 5:17pm MATOC update. MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer shared that traffic was a “mess” when one lane was getting by shortly after the crash.
Per Piringer, at least one adult was transported to the hospital with a non-life threatening injury.
