One Montgomery County, MD pizza shop has made Eater DC’s “5 New Pizza Places to Know About Around D.C.” list. AP Pizza Shop, which opened at 4747 Bethesda Ave. in Downtown Bethesda on January 31st, was the sole Maryland spot on the list.
AP Pizza opened along with Aventino earlier this winter by MoCo resident Chef Mike Friedman (Olney). AP Pizza Shop is the Bethesda outpost of Friedman’s All-Purpose Pizzeria, which currently has two D.C. locations.
AP Pizza Shop will offer “Jersey-style, deck-oven pies”, Italian coffee/pastries in the morning, and paninis, salads, and slices for lunch, along with a wider variety of pizzas available for dinner.
