Fallen Tree Closes MacArthur Blvd.

A fallen tree has closed MacArthur Blvd. closed between Picasso Ln. and Belfast Rd. Drivers are advised to seek an alternate route and significant delays are expected. The tree fell earlier in the day on Sunday.

According to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer, the large tree fell across the road onto a fire hydrant. The water is out in the area along MacArthur Blvd. with wires down in the area.

Crews are removing the tree, but delays remain into Sunday night due to the road closure.
