The Adventure Park (16701 Norwood Road, Sandy Spring) was recently named the Olney Chamber of Commerce 2023 Business of the Year.

Nearing its millionth climber, The Adventure Park at Sandy Spring has been a constant innovator within the Challenge Course industry since its inception in 2010 as the first tree based “Swiss Style” Adventure Park in the country. Last year, the country’s largest Aerial Adventure Park also became the 4th ACCT Accredited park in the country. This process involves a
multi-stage review of industry standards & practices.

“The Olney Chamber of Commerce has named The Adventure Park at Sandy Spring as the distinguished recipient of its 2023 Business of the Year award,” announced Executive Director Terri Hogan. “Our selection was based on the park’s attainment of industry accreditation and its abundance of accolades and recognitions. We take pride in having The Adventure Park as a part of our Chamber and community. With an annual draw of nearly 100,000 visitors, it unquestionably contributes to the success of our other local businesses.”

John Hines, owner of the Adventure Park, said “We are incredibly thankful to receive this recognition from the Olney Chamber of Commerce. We are proud to offer a unique benefit to people here at home and draw in customers from around the country. The Olney/Sandy Spring area has grown so much over the years and we are proud to have played a small part in its positive development. The Olney Chamber and its leadership team deserve an enormous amount of credit for providing an outlet for small businesses to work together to continue to improve our town.
