The City of Gaithersburg Engineering Services Division is seeking feedback on roadway safety to help guide the development of its Local Road Safety Plan (LRSP). An online survey is available here. Survey responses are requested by 5 p.m. on April 8, 2024.
Per the City of Gaithersburg: This survey will help the City better understand key safety issues and priorities as a driver, biker, walker, or user of a mobility device. By taking 10 to 15 minutes to complete this survey, residents can help to inform the City’s future infrastructure projects and safety programs. The City’s LRSP will provide a framework for identifying, analyzing, and prioritizing roadway safety improvements on local roads. Learn more about Local Road Safety Plans here.
The Engineering Services Division is responsible for Capital Improvement Projects for the City’s Public Infrastructure assets (roadways, street lighting, parks, bridges, and culverts). The Division ensures that land development plans conform to city and state standards, provides expertise on traffic and other civil engineering issues, and manages the City’s bus shelter, lighting, and recycling programs.
