
Shane Lee, a 6 foot, 240 lb linebacker who spent three years at Alabama and his senior year at USC, is working hard to ensure he is taken in the 2024 NFL Draft. Lee is a Montgomery County native from Burtonsville.
Chick Hernandez, a 1981 Blair High School graduate who is the lead sports anchor at WUSA9, recently traveled to USC for Lee’s teammate Caleb Williams’ pro day. While there he met Mark Lee, who is Shane Lee’s father, and highlighted Shane’s path to the NFL Draft. The path included playing football for the Olney Boys and Girls Club, Silver Spring Saints, and Bethesda’s Maplewood (full video available below).
Lee went to high a school at St. Frances Academy in Baltimore and was rated a 4-star recruit by ESPN. After high school, Lee went on to college at Alabama where he stayed for three years until moving on to USC. In his 4-year career, Lee has 175 tackles, including 15.5 for losses (with 9.5 sacks), 3 INTs (1 of which he ran back for a TD), 3 forced fumbles, 2 pass deflections, a fumble recovery and a QB hurry while appearing in 42 games (with 25 starts).
