Road Construction on Summit Ave. at E. Diamond Ave. to Last Approximately Six Months

The Gaithersburg Department of Public Works announced that road construction will be performed on Summit Avenue at East Diamond Avenue. The work is anticipated to begin on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, weather permitting.

Work will consist of traffic signal improvements and curb and sidewalks, followed by asphalt milling, resurfacing, and striping. Anticipated project completion is October 2024. Work will be performed by contractors under the direction of the Department of Public Works. Most of the work will be performed Monday through Friday between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Access to and from all residences and businesses will be available at all times, although minor delays can be expected at various times while work is in progress. On-street parking will be restricted at various times. “No Parking” signs will be posted at least 48 hours in advance of construction activity.
