
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to the report of a tree down in Takoma Park at approximately 4pm on Thursday, April 4.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, the tree hit three occupied houses. Firefighters assisted two occupants getting out. There are no reported injuries and several people have been displaced.
Cedar Ave was closed/blocked between Dogwood Ave and Philadelphia Ave due to downed live wires. We will provide an update if additional information becomes available.
