Pedestrian Struck and Killed by Metro Train Sunday Night at North Bethesda Station

Update: WUSA 9 reports that the person was pronounced dead at the scene.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to the North Bethesda Metro Station (formerly White Flint) at approximately 8pm on Sunday, April 14, for the report of a pedestrian struck by a train.


According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, EMS evaluated one person with traumatic life threatening injuries.

Per Metro: “Red Line: Trains are bypassing North Bethesda with single tracking between Twinbrook & Grosvenor-Strathmore due to a trespasser struck by a train at North Bethesda. Expect delays in both directions. Shuttle requested.”
