Retail Stores Expected To Begin Opening This Summer At White Oak Town Center

Last year, developers Bernstein Management and Finmarc Management pulled the first permits that will allow for construction to begin on the upcoming White Oak Town Center (12345 Columbia Pike). A couple weeks back we let you know that eight tenants have signed on for the upcoming shopping center, and now we know that the retail stores are expected to begin opening by July, according to Montgomery County Councilmember Kristin Mink.

Mink recently toured the upcoming shopping center and highlighted the protected walking path across the parking lot which includes benches, a pavilion, and greenery, a paved bike and pedestrian path will run all the way around the center, a public indoor area that has bathrooms, a screen with live transit info, and more.

The most recent tenant to sign on is AT&T, taking over a space that was designated for a cell phone store. The previously reported European Wax Center, Jersey Mike’s, Inspire Nail Bar, Starbucks, and Oak Barrel & Vine (a county-owned and operated liquor store that features tasting rooms and beer on tap.) are all still slated to open in the upcoming development. They will be joined by breakfast/brunch restaurant First Watch, and the Drake-backed Dave’s Hot Chicken.

White Oak Town Center also has plans to include a grocery store anchor, a junior anchor, and more. It was previously reported that Amazon Fresh would be coming in as the grocery store, but that may or may not be in the plans anymore since the company has moved away from opening new grocery stores. We’ll keep you updated on the new tenants as they’re announced.
