2024 G-PARC Storm Drain Art Contest Winners Announced

Winner: Carina Araujo,
Gaithersburg Says No to Litter

The Gaithersburg Parks, Arts and Recreation Corporation (G-PARC) Arts & Culture Alliance, in conjunction with the Stormwater Management and Cultural Events and Services Divisions, has announced the winners and honorable mentions of our Storm Drain Art Contest 2024.

The judges selected their artwork out of a total of 20 entries for its great interpretation of the contest theme, which was to bring attention to the importance of protecting our Chesapeake Bay watershed.

The winners’ artwork will be painted on the storm drain covers within the City, near a City-owned park or facility later this year. The winning designs and honorable mentions may also be used in banners, posters, coloring books, other educational materials, and on social media. Congratulations to the winners and honorable mentions.
