
Montgomery County Police responded to the report of a shooting on Thursday, May 16, in Silver Spring.
According to police, “at approximately 12:58 a.m., MCPD responded to the area of Fenton Street and Wayne Avenue for the report of a shooting. The preliminary investigation has revealed that a vehicle was reported stolen in a neighboring jurisdiction. Unknown suspects from inside the stolen vehicle began to shoot at the vehicle that was following them. No one was shot however minor injuries have been reported. There are no suspects in custody at this time. This is an active and ongoing investigation.”
Safety reporter Cordell Pugh tweeted that multiple casings were found in the area and at least one occupied car was struck multiple times.
