Prince George’s County Police Homicide Unit detectives charged a Montgomery County man in connection with a fatal shooting in May. The suspect is 21-year-old Erick Pineda of Silver Spring. He is charged with fatally shooting 20-year-old Kevin Moscoso-Lopez of Adelphi.
According to PGCPD: “On May 15, 2024, at approximately 3:40 pm, officers responded to the 1900 block of Erie Street for the report of a shooting. Once on scene, they located the victim outside suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
The preliminary investigation revealed the suspect shot the victim during an argument. They were known to each other. Pineda is charged with first and second degree murder and related charges. He is in the custody of the Department of Corrections.
