Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) were dispatched to 8600 Old Georgetown Rd in Bethesda for an outlet fire in the ICU room of Suburban Hospital.
According to Assistant Chief David Pazos, the small fire has been extinguished and there were no injuries. Units on scene are working to clear out any smoke before releasing property back to hospital staff.
An update by MCFRS Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer stated the following, “8600 Old Georgetown Rd. multi-story medical facility, electrical issue, fire is out, no extension, no injuries or additional medical needs, some smoke removal necessary.” Photo by MCFRS.
