Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded to a house fire at 18900 Blue Heron Ln., near Centerway Rd, in Gaithersburg on Thursday morning.
According to MCFRS Chief spokesperson Pete Piringer, responding units arrived to find fire and smoke coming from the home’s sunroom with one person was rescued and one possibly trapped in the basement.
In a subsequent update, Piringer noted that one person was rescued while another was assisted out of the home. As of 10:02am, the fire was out and the area of origin appears to be the sunroom/back porch.
