Montgomery County Police have released additional information regarding a fatal shooting that occurred this morning in Rockville.
According to MCPD, “At approximately 7:50 a.m., Montgomery County Department of Police – 1st District officers were dispatched to the 14900 block of Southlawn Lane for a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a 60-year-old male with gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
A lookout was placed for a gray Toyota Tacoma. A felony stop was initiated at Southlawn and Avery, at approximately 7:55 a.m. When officers approached the vehicle, a 54-year-old male was found inside of the truck with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The subject was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Montgomery County Police Major Crimes detectives are working with detectives from the Laurel Police Department who connected the Toyota Tacoma to a domestic-related shooting Wednesday evening. Both men have been transported to the office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the manner and cause of death.”
