Governor Hogan’s Updated Executive Order Lifts Capacity Limits on Indoor/Outdoor Dining Statewide, Local Jurisdictions Still Make Their Own Decisions
During today’s press conference, Governor Hogan lifted the dining capacity restrictions on restaurants statewide, but noted that restaurants and bars will still be limited to seated and distanced service only.

Julius West Middle School to Donate Over 350 Bags of Food to Families in Need
Mike Edwards, a Julius West Middle School social studies teacher and team leader, organized a food drive for families in need in the Julius West cluster.
Governor Larry Hogan will hold a press conference today at 3:30 to provide an update on Maryland’s COVID-19 response and recovery.

MCPS Provided Community Update on Travel Recommendations

A sign that reads “Covid-19 Vaccine Makers Have No Liability” can currently be seen hanging on the Muddy Branch Road Bridge over I-270.
We have been told “The banner itself is in protest of 1) Manufacturers not having the same liability standards as other pharma companies, and 2) Mass vaxination being a necessity for our county and nation to fully reopen.”
Adam Lederer and Nicholas Fettig met when they were students in the Digital Design & Development magnet program at Argyle Middle School. Now, they’ve created MoCoVax.com – a website committed to notifying citizens of Montgomery County when and where Vaccines are available. Adam is now a junior at Clarksburg High School and Nicholas is a junior at Wheaton High School.
We spoke to them last night and asked about the reason they decided to create this website. Adam told us there are similar sites, but none are specific to Montgomery County and none of them work as fast as their site does, which virtually contains a live update for several vaccination sites in the county, including Walgreens, CVS, and Adventist Health Care.
Hundreds of fans packed City Place Mall (now Ellsworth Place) in Silver Spring for a free Rihanna concert in 2005. At the time, ‘Pon De Replay’ was her biggest hit. We were told officials from either the mall or the concert were offering freebies to get people inside for the up and coming singer’s concert. Photos below by Sara Feldman Kuhn.
