The Montgomery County Board of Elections has stated that official mail-in ballots started arriving in voters’ mailboxes this past weekend – as with other elections in the past, this cycle’s ballot consists of several ballot measures that voters can weigh in on this election.

The Ethiopian restaurant opened its first restaurant in Georgia Avenue in Downtown Silver Spring and has been working on the newest location in the White Oak shopping center for a while now.

This morning Dolcezza announced the closing of five of their gelato and coffee shops in the DC area, including their sole MoCo location at Bethesda Row.

Aldi has announced that the grand opening of its Cherry Hill Rd. location will be on October 15th. We stopped by yesterday and things looked great and nearly ready to go.
The German discount grocery store is located at the over old Babies R Us location next to PetSmart. It will be the second grocery store in the shopping centers (ShopRite is currently there). Very nearby, a medical imaging center will be joining the shopping center when it takes over the old Staples location.
Ziki Japanese Steakhouse, a popular Hibachi spot in Gaithersburg, has been closed since March 16th.
The other Ziki location, in Annapolis Town Center, reopened for carry-out in early April and resumed dine-in service in June.

Fleet Feet is Coming Back to the Kentlands
Back in July Fleet Feet Gaithersburg, then located at 255 Kentlands Boulevard, announced that it would be closing due to a 90% decline in revenue.

Recently, we were invited to a tasting event at Poyoteca, located in Fallsgrove. Poyoteca is best known for their Peruvian Chicken (cooked using a secret family recipe), but they also have a wide range of side dishes, salads, sandwiches, burritos, desserts, and more on their menu.
The Fallsgrove location of Poyoteca opened up for the first time in the midst of COVID, back in July. The two owners, Fernando and Juan Sanchez, are brothers who were born in Peru, but raised in Rockville. They currently have one other Poyoteca location in Baltimore’s Inner Harbor.
