Home to U.S. News and World Report’s second best high school in the state of Maryland (Wootton High School), Rockville was named the best place to live in the state of Maryland by Time Magazine’s Money.com

Touting low unemployment and crime rates along with amenities and proximity to city parks, Money also mentions the 50+ restaurants and shops in Rockville Town Square.


Downtown Silver Spring

​I don’t think “cursed” is the right word for it, but there are definitely locations in the county that have not had the best of luck with long-lasting businesses.

With that said, I’d like to discuss the one location that I feel may be the unluckiest of them all. 654 Centerpoint Way in the Kentlands in Gaithersburg. This location has been home to The Last Mango, Zodiac Grill, Tony and James, 44 Sports Bar and Grill, and most recently Largent’s Restaurant and Bar.

MoCo

Bloomberg L.P.’s Tyler Cowen writes about the differences between the three D.C. area finalists (Washington D.C., Northern Virginia, and Montgomery County, mentioning Silver Spring and White Flint as examples of potential landing spots for the new Amazon headquarters.

He notes that even though the distance between NoVa and D.C. is similar to the distance between MoCo and D.C., the commute is made much easier by the public transit available in MoCo.


Rockville
