This marks the third time a Multi-Match jackpot has been hit in 2022. The winner can choose between the annuity or the estimated $280,000 cash option (before taxes). In addition to hitting the jackpot on the $10 ticket, the lucky player won an additional $4,542.
The $50,000-winning Bonus Match 5 player bought a lucky ticket from Shoppers #2347 located at 3441 Laurel Fort Meade Road in Laurel. The winning numbers in the drawing were 3, 4, 19, 22 and 28; the Bonus Ball was 39. This is the 31st top-prize winning Bonus Match 5 ticket sold in Maryland this year.
Lottery officials encourage the winners to sign the back of their tickets and keep them in a safe location. Players have 182 days after the date of the drawing to claim the prize.

Players must redeem prizes larger than $25,000 by mail or at Lottery headquarters in the Montgomery Park Business Center, 1800 Washington Blvd., Suite 330 in Baltimore. Winners can also drop off a winning ticket along with a completed claim form and copies of their photo ID and proof of Social Security/Tax ID number in the Lottery drop box in the Montgomery Park Business Center lobby.
Both Lottery retailers earn bonuses for their sales of jackpot- and top-prize winning tickets. Montgomery County’s State Line Market will receive a $1,000 bonus for selling the winning Multi-Match ticket while Shoppers #2347 in Anne Arundel County earns a $500 bonus for selling the winning Bonus Match 5 ticket.
The Multi-Match jackpot was last hit for $2.2 million on Aug. 18, 2022 and started rolling with the Aug. 22 drawing. Other top Multi-Match jackpot wins to date were $4.8 million on Sept. 19, 2009; $4.45 million on March 18, 2010; $3.8 million on Dec. 16, 2010 and $3.6 million on June 8, 2015.
