Flower Hill ES Shares Stefon Diggs Yearbook Photo Ahead of Super Bowl

Flower Hill Elementary School in Gaithersburg is celebrating one of its own as Stefon Diggs prepares to take the field on football’s biggest stage.

The Gaithersburg native and New England Patriots wide receiver is heading to the Super Bowl on Sunday, February 8, and Flower Hill ES shared a throwback yearbook photo highlighting Diggs’ early days as a student. The image offers a full-circle moment for a player whose path from Montgomery County classrooms to the NFL has been marked by steady progression and standout performances.

Diggs went on to star at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Olney, where he developed into one of the nation’s top high school recruits. He later played collegiately at the University of Maryland before launching a successful professional career.

This season, Diggs delivered a strong showing for New England, finishing the regular season with 85 receptions for 1,013 yards and four touchdowns while starting all 17 games. His performance helped propel the Patriots to a Super Bowl appearance, adding another milestone to a career that began in local schools.

Montgomery County will also be represented on the field by Mack Hollins, a Rockville native and Wootton High School graduate. Hollins recorded 46 receptions for 550 yards and two touchdowns this season and returned from injured reserve in time to contribute during the AFC Championship run.
