Virginia-Based Cubasi Bistro is Coming to Bethesda

Cubasi Bistro, a Cuban restaurant with an existing location in Sterling, VA, is coming to 4710 Bethesda Ave. The restaurant will be located on the ground level of The Seasons Apartments in the location that was formerly home to Jimmy John’s. Jimmy John’s closed that location in late 2018. We spoke with a representative from Cubasi Bistro today who told us that the restaurant hopes to open in two weeks.

The menu consists of starters like ham croquettes, empanadas, bacalitos, and more. A variety of sandwiches and sides are on the menu, as well as pork. beef, chicken, and seafood entrees. Diners can also create their own bowls that consist of chicken/beef and salad, rice, beans, plantains, and more. The full menu and photos of a few dishes can be seen below.

Per the restaurant: “Discover our authentic Cuban restaurant today! At Cubasi Bistro™, we serve up extraordinary Cuban dishes and culinary delights using only the finest locally sourced ingredients. Pick from one of our variety plates, sandwiches, sides, and more to receive a true Cuban cuisine experience that won’t soon be forgotten. Our wide-ranging menu gives a whole new experience for some and a trip down memory lane for others. Whether you try our Cuban sandwiches, ropa vieja beef, or empanadas, you are sure to leave full and happy.”

News of the upcoming opening was previously reported by @TheMoCoSource on Instagram.
