Police have cleared Clarksburg High School to lift from lockdown status and resume normal school operations. Other schools in the area have been cleared to exit from shelter-in-place.

Clarksburg High School and Rocky Hill Middle School are currently on lockdown as a result of police activity in the area, according to Montgomery County Police.
MCPD sent a tweet out at 11:55 alerting the community of the situation.
FOX 5 reports that the lockdowns were prompted by suspicious activity outside the school building. Montgomery County Police are currently on the scene.
Clarksburg High School released a statement saying, “there is an emergency situation in the area of Clarksburg HS that has necessitated the school to move into an alert status. As soon as we have more information it will be communicated to families.”
