Fu Lin Restaurant in Silver Spring is Closing This Sunday

Fu Lin Restaurant, located at 2235 Bel Pre Rd in Silver Spring, announced Tuesday night that they will be closing their doors permanently this Sunday, February 21st. They list the pandemic, as well as the owners retiring, as the reasons.

A staple at the Plaza del Mercado for many years, Fu Lin specialized in family style Cantonese cuisine.

A post on their social media pages read:
“We are sorry to inform you that we will be closing our doors on Sunday, February 21, 2021 due to Pandemic and owners have decided to finally retire. Thank you all for your many years of support coming to enjoy our Chinese Cantonese Cuisine dining in and carry out.”

Oh no! I really wish there was someone to take over! I am glad we supported them as much as we did and we did not take the proximity of authentic Chinese food for granted! I am also open to suggestions for great pork fried rice, fish filet and Smokey garlic beef.

Loved this place for many years, since we’ve moved to the neighborhood. Great food and staff. Their salted and pepper shrimp was amazing. It will be missed a lot!
