Gaithersburg Man Charged With Attempted Murder in Connection With Shooting Outside of Restaurant in April

Jefferson Delgado has been charged with attempted murder after allegedly shooting Franklin Ivan Soriano Guerrero several times in the parking lot of Antojitos restaurant at 12 E Diamond Ave E in Gaithersburg back on April 18.

According to Bethesda Beat, Delgado is being charged with attempted first and second-degree murder, first and second-degree assault, firearm use in the commission of a felony, reckless endangerment, illegal possession of ammunition, discharging a gun in an urban area, discharging a weapon and disorderly conduct.

From the original Gaithersburg Police Department release:

Detectives from the Gaithersburg Police Department – Investigative Section are investigating a shooting that occurred in the parking lot of 12 East Diamond Avenue in Gaithersburg.

On Sunday, April 18, 2021, at approximately 1:32 a.m., officers from both the Gaithersburg Police and Montgomery County Police 6th District responded to the area of Russell Avenue and East Diamond Avenue for the report of the sounds of shots fired. While police did not find evidence of such activity, another call for service was received at 1:58 a.m., for a possible shooting victim at a local hospital.
