Rio is hosting a Pop Up Artisan Maker’s Street Market today and tomorrow (Saturday, April 30 & Sunday, May 1) from 1-6pm on Grand Corner Avenue (near Dick’s Sporting Goods). In partnership with Locally Crafted, the following will be available:
- Shop Handmade Products from Local Artisans
- Cocktail Station by California Pizza Kitchen & Live Music
- Free Kids’ Activities
- & More!
Per the Locally Crafted website, “Housed in a spacious 4,000 square foot store-front at the popular RIO Washingtonian shopping center in Gaithersburg, Maryland, Locally Crafted is a community space where artists can showcase their unique products. Customers will experience seeing the items in person, rather than through an online store, giving them the opportunity to feel and see the quality in person. Locally Crafted appeals to customers who value unique items and prefer supporting makers from their own community over national corporate big chain stores.
As a female owned small business we are invested in helping to support other small businesses. By carrying only locally made products, we are creating a bridge between local makers and interested customers, enhancing the unique character of our community and helping the local economy by supporting small businesses in the neighborhood.”
