Man Takes a Day Off Work, Wins $100,000 on Scratch-Off He Bought In MoCo

After purchasing the games, he scratched them off in the store. While playing one of the $10 games, he noticed the number “10” appeared on every line so he won whatever prize was shown next to the “10.” The lucky father of three daughters revealed $1,000 and $10,000 prizes down the line, equaling a total of $100,000! “I knew right away it was a winning ticket,” he said. “But, I still scanned it to be sure.” The congratulatory message appeared, confirming his $100,000 top prize win! Excited and a bit nervous, the big winner slowly walked out of the store and went directly home to share the news with his long-term girlfriend and his children.“They were all so happy for me,” he said, chuckling. “But, you know girls, they all wanted me to buy them something.” The winner tried to claim the prize at Lottery headquarters that same day but realized the Baltimore office is closed on weekends. Instead, he made an appointment and claimed the big $100,000 prize on Monday. The anonymous winner plans to use the prize to help his family, take care of his girls, purchase a few necessities and maybe take a vacation.

Also celebrating in this win is the lucky retailer located at 7669 New Hampshire Avenue in Montgomery County. For selling the $100,000 top prize-winning Power 10s instant ticket, TJ Beer, Wine & Liquor will receive a $1,000 bonus from the Lottery.
