Moco Tip Challenge Helps Struggling Restaurant Workers
The Moco Tip Challenge Facebook group was created by two Gaithersburg friends to help Montgomery County restaurant employees during this especially difficult holiday season.
They surprises restaurant workers who have been nominated through an application process on the group’s Facebook page, with $500 in cash.
To date, they have given away $4,000 and have raised a total of $7,285. They have five more $500 “tips” scheduled to be given this week. Nominations are currently paused as they raise enough funds to catch up but the creators of the Tip Challenge hope to continue doing it as long as possible.
