  6. Everyone is worried about their gift cards and while that’s unfortunate, think about all of us who lost our jobs working there…

    • Boo frickin’ hoo. You can get another job – we will never get our gift cards back.

      • I have cards as well not used. But to lose a job is devastating. You are heartless. But what goes around comes around. Good luck to all who lost their jobs.

this so bad this company should have the decency at least to refund people’s money .
      This is no good.

  7. Just want you to know that a long time client is thinking of all of you in spite of losing several hundred dollars by purchasing a large package of appointments at a discounted rate a year in advance. Am really going to miss my colorist, hair treatment and stylist, and others who worked there. ? Hope before this horrible virus mess ends you can find another job. ??

  8. I was a client for more than a decade (Red Door and Mynd). I can’t believe it’s closed. I will miss all of there personnel and the great services.

You need to let us ALL know what to do about gift cards we received. Very unfair to do this without notice to customers. Please respond and let everyone know what to do.

  17. It’s a very unfair virus 🦠 . So sorry to those who lost jobs. 😢

Although unfortunate for those who lost their jobs, it is also frustrating to lose money. Anyone who purchased gift cards not only did it to save money but as an investment in the staff!!! It’s a lose in both ways. Sounds like this company did not invest in their staff. Somewhere someone made bad investments if they laid-off staff as quickly as they did as this “pandemic” hit. Too convenient if you ask me that they just closed their doors.

I hope the economy reopens quickly and all of those who lost jobs get them back.

Note to self, I will not invest in something like this again. Times are too unsecured!

It is quite disgraceful that Mynd Spa- formerly Elizabeth Arden, the classiest of classy- has not responded to any questions about gift card refunds. Sort of like stealing I believe. I have a $300 gift card that I would like a refund on.

    • I am looking for your hair stylist Robert. Would appreciate any contact info you have. He’s a spectacular stylist

  20. I too have a $230 gift card that was given to me in Jan 2020. Will they be refunded? Please reply.

    Thank you, Amy

My heart goes out to all of the team members of the Mynd Salon and Spa! Unfortunately, due to COVID many of us find ourselves in similar financial situations, where every dollar counts.

I too have purchased a gift card for $350. If anyone hears about reimbursement, please post.

  25. Online it says that Mynd spa declared Ch. 7 bankruptcy and permanently closed its doors. This is not a temporary closure for covid.

I have, I think, $750 in Red Door gift cards (multiple Christmas presents). I asked Arden if they would honor the card, and they said no (I will never give them a penny of my business ever again).

My guess is that we need to file a statement of claim in the Mynd bankruptcy proceeding.

We have 250 in gift cards can we be given elabeth Arden products

  28. I have $850 gift card as well.
Anyone knows what we can do about this?
    This is crazy!!

  29. I have $1000 dollars in gift cards for Red Door and Mynd. I would like to be reimbursed as well. The day before the went bankrupt, they tried to get me to prepay all of my massages for the year! Imagine if I had done that!

  30. I also have a gift card that I’d like to use on merchandise since services are no longer offered. Reimbursement would be better.

  31. I felt like how they did it was unprofessional. They blatantly took money out of my account less than a few days before they filed. I reached out to them numerous of times and had no response. Is there away to reach out to certain staff to see if they are providing alternative services?

  32. Rochelle Penn | July 26, 2020 at 8:10 am | Reply

I Too have $225.00 in gift cards. I would like to have them reimburse, or find a spa that can welcome them. My sympathy to those who lost there jobs.

  33. Has anyone received an answer?

  34. This is crazy. I just found out today that the Mynd (Red Door) closed without any warning. There should of been a heads up so we could of redeem our unused gift cards.

I am just finding out about this! I was a member of the monthly membership and had an appointment for March 16th which they called me that morning and informed me that they had to close due to the pandemic and i would be contacted upon opening to redeem. It was for 2 months $200!! I need to get that money back! Definitely sorry about the situation and the employees but an email would have been good

I have over 300 dollars in gift cards. We were given no warning to come and redeem. What a ridiculous waste

  38. Hello! Just saw the news today and am concerned about my unused giftcards as well. Has anyone made contact with customer service?

  39. Would like to join you in filing a statement of claim if you do so.

    • Also have a gift card. Has anyone else tried the Villa Floriani website That says they are taking unused gift cards from the salon for product purchases? Or is this a scam? They are saying you can buy their products with the gift card money? Their products were sold at the Red Door Salon.

    • Yes I would like to join in a statement claim also. I have $350.00 in gift cards

  40. I would also like to join you in filing a statement of claim.

  41. i have a $100 gift card to use. i was saving it to use it for my wedding. how do i get a refund back for this card?

  42. I don’t know if there’s a way to receive a refund for unused gift cards. I have one for $250 and I contacted Villa Floriani about their offer. Basically, they’ll give me 50% off any purchase up to $500 — but anything I buy at 50% off requires payment. So if I put $500 worth of items in my cart, Villa Floriani will charge me $250, but I still need to pay that $250. They aren’t honoring the gift card per se.

  43. I too have a $120 Elizabeth Arden Red Door Spa gift card balance and will look into using with ,,.

I have around $800 in gift cards. Very upset about this whole thing. We should’ve been emailed so we could have used our gift cards for merchandise at the very least. I would definitely join in a suit to re-coup something

  45. Is there a claim being set up??? I have 300$ in Gc.

  46. what do we do with our unused gift cards? I would like my money back

  47. I have $500. in gift cards that I would love to get a refund or products in exchange. Has anyone received any more info about the gift cards?

I hope the staff have found new jobs by now

  48. A very frustrated customer | October 8, 2020 at 6:56 pm | Reply

Mynd did the worst of all bankruptcies. Chapter 7! Which means they owe money to big creditors and it is very unlikely that anyone with gift cards (no matter how much you have) will be able to recoup their money. It is disgusting how they handled it. I feel badly for the employees who had no notice either. There should have been some advance notice so customers could have at least bought products. It makes me so mad!!!

  49. Has the statement of claim been filed yet?

  50. I have so much money in gift cards, they didn’t pre warn anyone so that we could have used it, I want my money back

    • Is there a way to file a class action with the bankruptcy? I’d think there is an attorney somewhere on this string that would know our recourse. I have $325 in cards as well.

  51. I believe with so many people on board we can file a class action regardless of the bankruptcy. I read that one can still sue.

  52. Jacqueline Rayner | October 19, 2020 at 2:45 pm | Reply

please let me know if anyone is organizing a class action lawsuit. I too, have hundreds of dollars in gift cards.

  53. I had been savings my gift cards, so I’m with everyone else that has a ton of lost money. Count me in on claim or action, given the economy these days, can’t afford to lose all that money! Thx to everyone on the chain

  54. I have close to $400 in gift cards that I can no longer use. I too would join in the filing to try to get our money back.

  55. I have a $250 GC. If anyone figures out how to recoup, would love to know

  56. I have a gift card. I tried to use at Villafloriani. No success. It is a scam for sure.

  57. I have a $250 gift card! Can it be used anywhere else or get a refund??

  58. include me in any class action suit.

  59. Please add me to the class action suit as well. I have $200 on my gift card.

  60. Please add me to the class action suit. I have a balance of $110 on a gift card.

    • I have an unused $100 from the “Avenue” program/club that Mynd sponsored that I’ve probably lost unless I get reimbursed from their bankruptcy settlement.

  61. Is there a class action suit? I have $250 of certificate/Giftcards to Red Door. I would like to be able to do something with these cards or get money back if possible.

  63. I’m following as I have unused gift cards for the Garden City location, and would like to know how to redeem the funds. This is absolutely awful how they handled this for the staff as well as customers. Keep me posted if there is a class action lawsuit.

  64. I also have a gift card with several hundred dollars and would like to be part of any class action lawsuit.

  65. I also have several hundred dollars worth of giftcards. I would like to be added if someone files a class action lawsuit.

  66. i also have $$ in gift cards. need to know what action to take

  67. I would also like to join in – I have $210 in GCs and can’t believe what I’m reading….

  68. I have $350 GC to Red Door – we need a way to get back this money ASAP

  72. I also have a $200 gift certificate from MYND. I would like to know how to get a refund!

Any update on the gift cards?

  74. A still very upset customer | March 23, 2021 at 7:51 pm | Reply

It has now been over a year since Mynd closed its doors supposedly temporarily because of the pandemic. Meanwhile everyone above has gift cards that probably total in the thousands that can not be used or refunded. A company should not be allowed to do this without some form of notification or alternative way to spend the gift card money. They intentionally misled the public and assured customers they would reopen when all along they knew it was false. It is very still very frustrating! Just had to vent!!

  75. I, too have about $500 in gift cards. I would love to be a part of the effort to get a refund or at least purchase products.

  76. I’m sorry to hear of the permanent close of Mynd and the fact that so many employees lost their jobs. If anyone knows where Kim, facial extraordinaire, may be, can you share.

  77. I’m just discovering this. A little late to the game, but I haven’t been trying to get a massage since Covid began. I have nearly $800 of gift cards. Please contact me if here is an organized attempt to recover some of this money. I’m hoping that the employees have been finding jobs now that things are opening up. Good Luck!
