Clarksburg

On Tuesday, a Clarksburg man was found guilty of third-degree sex offense by a Montgomery County jury for groping a woman at a 2021 graduation party. He he faces up to 10 years in prison, must register as a sex offender for life, and will be sentenced on December 20, 2024. (more…)

The Montgomery County Police, in partnership with Homeland Security and IRS-CI, announced it has led a successful investigation dismantling a Prince George’s County theft and fencing ring trafficking stolen goods worth $270,000 from major retailers and generating over $1 million in untaxed revenue with merchandise shipped to South America. Event

Bring your family and friends to our free , all-day outdoor Oktoberfest celebration. These will be an outdoor craft fair featuring local artisans and professional woodworkers, a chainsaw carving, woodworking and tool demonstrations by Festool, Montgomery Wood Turners and Carvers. Bethesda

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) has announced that Crime Solvers of Montgomery County, with $7,000 donated by local community organizations, is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of those responsible for anti-Semitic vandalism found at Bethesda Elementary, a Starbucks, and Congregation Beth El in August 2024.

Aspen Hill

Alert Montgomery sent out a ‘Severe Traffic Alert’ at 1:23pm for a “Traffic incident closes eastbound Norbeck Rd (MD-28) at Hannans way. Expect significant delays. Seek alternate route.” The traffic incident was a vehicle fire that has since been extinguished by responding MCFRS crews.
