Saphire Cafe in Bethesda to Close Permanently

Saphire, located at 7940 Wisconsin Ave, has just announced that it will be closing permanently. The popular Bethesda nightlife location posted the following message on its Facebook page:

“Ok friends, the time has finally come…

The official last day for Saph is Monday but tomorrow will be the last Saturday for your favorite bar/bartenders!

Jason and I (Brendan) thank you ALL for being with us for for so long and making our nights so enjoyable.

I know Will, Julian, Matty Lew, William and everyone else before me deeply appreciates your patronage over the years!

We love you all, and let’s make this weekend until they ‘pull the plug’, EPIC!

Bethesda Film Fest

The 2024 Bethesda Film Fest will feature five short documentary films made by filmmakers from Maryland, Virginia, and Washington, D.C. Screenings will be held Friday April 5 and Saturday April 6 at Landmark Bethesda Row Cinema.
