This year’s “MCPS Business Pitch Challenge” is scheduled for Friday, March 24th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and will be available to watch via MCPS TV, and MCPS YouTube following the event. This competition was opened to high school students in the Business Management and Finance Program of Study, but all are encouraged to tune in and watch the innovative and creative skills of these students. It’s a Shark-Tank like event, where students will present their business ideas for a solution to an existing problem, improvement of an existing product, or create a need for a product/service. This year’s team of competitors are from the following nine high schools will be competing:
• Northwood
• Paint Branch
• Northwest
• Montgomery Blair
• Einstein
• Gaithersburg
Representatives from the MCPS Business, Management and Finance Program Advisory Committee will be present and serve as judges, mentors, or supporters. Established entrepreneurs, featuring our very own Alex T. (@mrmoco301) as the keynote speaker, will bring greetings and words of inspiration and encouragement to our student entrepreneurs.
