The top 3 schools on the list (and many more ranked very high) can be found right here in Montgomery County. There are 282 public high schools in Maryland. Each year the company releases a ‘Best Public High Schools’ list that according to Niche, is “based on rigorous analysis of academic and student life data from the U.S. Department of Education along with test scores, college data, and ratings collected from millions of Niche users.” Note: Niche has a separate ranking for Best Private High Schools.
