Wellness-driven café chain Pura Vida Miami has announced it will open its first Maryland location on Thursday, February 12. The restaurant will be located in the former Colada Shop location at 7993 Tuckerman Lane at Cabin John Village in Potomac.
The Montgomery County Department of Police is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying suspects connected to a series of residential burglaries. Detectives with the department’s 2nd District Investigative Section released surveillance images as part of their investigation. (more…)

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) responded Thursday to a fatal house fire in the 7000 block of Persimmon Tree Road near Eggert Road in Cabin John.
According to Chief Spokesperson for MCFRS Pete Piringer, about 60 firefighters extinguished a basement fire and located an unconscious adult inside within minutes of arrival. Despite extensive efforts to revive the victim, the individual did not survive.
