Maman, the French-inspired café and bakery, is planning to open in the former Buca di Beppo space at 112 Kentlands Blvd. in Gaithersburg’s Kentlands Market Square. The space had previously been slated for Tatte Bakery & Cafe before those plans changed earlier this year. (more…)

Jon Lovitz is bringing his stand-up comedy tour to Montgomery County later this month, with a performance scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 16 at the Bethesda Theatre. The former Saturday Night Live cast member will take the stage at 7pm, with dinner and doors opening at 5pm.
Those eager to try PopUp Bagels in Bethesda will have to wait a little longer. The rapidly growing bagel chain has announced that it has pushed back the opening of its Bethesda location to Friday, August 14. The shop was previously expected to open a little earlier this summer.
