The “6th Fear Haunted Trail” will be open to the public this Sunday, 10/31, from 7-9:00 pm (Friday has been cancelled due to the weather). It was thought up and built by Trent, a freshman at Quince Orchard HS, and he and his friends will be working the trail.


The Montgomery County Alcohol Beverage Services (ABS) new retail concept and flagship store, Oak Barrel & Vine, is having their grand opening this Wednesday, October 27.

The county-run beer, wine, and liquor store will feature a tasting room with beers on tap and space to hold events hosted by local breweries and distillers.


Vie De France in Rockville Town Square will close permanently on October 23, according to a representative we spoke to on the phone this morning.

The French bakery chain, owned by Yamazaki Baking of Chiyoda, Japan with its US division headquartered in Tyson’s Corner, has put up a sign in front of the Rockville Town Square location announcing they will be “moving operations to their other locations in White Flint and Potomac.”


Update: Lanes are now open on River Road near Spur Wheel Lane

River Road at Spur Wheel Lane is closed due to a single car collision that occurred around 3:00am, according to Chief Spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Pete Piringer.


Gregorio’s Trattoria will open its third MoCo location, and fourth overall, in Park Potomac in 2022. It will be located in the former home of Sugo (12505 Park Potomac Ave), which closed its doors permanently earlier this summer. Gregorio’s started out in Reston in 2008 and opened a second location in what’s now Cabin John Village in Potomac.

The restaurant opened its second MoCo location last November at the Shops at Sumner Place in Bethesda, in the spot that was home to China Pavilion for over two decades until it closed almost three years ago.They hope to open the new location in 6-8 months. Pictured is their chicken parmigiana with rosé sauce. The news of Gregorio’s Trattoria opening in Park Potomac was first reported by Store Reporter.


Yirasai Sushi will be moving to Park Potomac, according to restaurant management.

Earlier today we spoke with a manager at Yirasai Sushi, located at 5110 Ridgefield Road in the Westwood Shipping Center in Bethesda, who told us that the tentative plan is to close to the current location later this year as they prepare to move in to the old Elevation Burger spot in Park Potomac that became available last month.
