According to District 3 Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) Commander Jason Cokinos, MCPD officers seized two illegally possessed guns during proactive patrols this week, including one discovered during a traffic stop and another recovered from a suspect observed handling a gun in their waistband. A Silver Spring, Maryland man pleaded guilty Thursday before U.S. District Court Judge Deborah L. Boardman to distribution of fentanyl resulting in the death of a Bethesda, Maryland minor victim in January 2022.
Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police- 2nd District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying three suspects wanted in connection to a robbery.
Montgomery County Police are investigating a commercial burglary at a Giant Food store in Germantown on September 16, 2024, where three suspects used a stolen Dodge Ram to ram the entrance and attempt to break into an ATM before fleeing without taking any money or property. Detectives have released surveillance footage and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects. (more…)

Takoma Park Police responded to a report of an armed robbery/kidnapping in the 6900 block of New Hampshire Avenue at approximately 12:16 pm on Tuesday.
Members from the Maryland Car Rally Task Force, working in collaboration with the Maryland State Police (MSP) Special Operations Division, and allied police agencies disrupted seven unlawful exhibition driving events throughout multiple Maryland counties, including Howard, Anne Arundel, and Baltimore, Saturday night. Three people were arrested in association with the exhibitions.
