According to the Frederick Pulse, at approximately 9:30 a.m. today Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) deputies were dispatched to a residence in the 3800 block of Braveheart Drive for an unknown emergency. Upon arrival, gunshots were heard coming from a single-family residence.
On June 20 at approximately 8:16 pm, Takoma Park Police responded to a report of an armed carjacking in the 6500 block of New Hampshire Avenue, specifically in the parking lot of the Mid-Atlantic Seafood restaurant.
Montgomery County Police has released surveillance photos of suspects wanted in connection with the break-in of 22 vehicles in a Silver Spring parking garage.
Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the murders of two 20-year-old shooting victims, Quincy Johnson, of Takoma Park, and D’Andre Wint, of Lanham. Both were shot and killed on Sunday, May 26, 2024. Detectives are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect(s) in this case.
A 24-year-old has been arrested for his involvement in a November 2023 homicide. Jose Ramon Ventura, who has no known address, is charged with accessory after the fact for driving and transporting two individuals believed to be responsible for the shooting death of 20-year-old Orlando Alexander Satz, Jr.

Per MCPD: Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 3rd District Investigative Section are investigating a commercial burglary that occurred on Wednesday, June 12, 2024, in the 15600 block of Old Columbia Pike in Burtonsville.
Park Police has shared that on Thursday morning, at approximately 1am, an officer was about to investigate a suspicious vehicle at Burnt Mills West park.
Per MCPD: Officers from the Montgomery County Department of Police- 3rd District Station are investigating an attempted auto theft that occurred on Saturday, June 1, 2024, in the 8040 block of Kennett Street in Silver Spring. A Maryland State Trooper was struck by a suspected impaired driver this morning while sitting inside his patrol vehicle, according to Maryland State Police.
Per the news release: The accused is identified as Nithya Ramani, 37, of Montgomery Village, Maryland. Ramani was charged with driving under the influence. She was the operator and sole occupant of a red Honda Accord involved in the crash. She was uninjured in the incident.
