Florin Serdaru, 29, was sentenced to 39 months in federal prison for his role in a large-scale Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) fraud scheme that stole hundreds of thousands of dollars in benefits from recipients across multiple states, including Maryland.
Montgomery County Police have released an overview of reported calls for service from Friday, July 10 through Sunday, July 12. Incidents included multiple aggravated assaults, weapons offenses, commercial and attempted residential burglaries, several vehicle thefts, catalytic converter thefts, two weapons discharge investigations, an officer-involved shooting, and the recovery of firearms and suspected drugs.

The report includes armed carjackings, multiple vehicle thefts, residential burglaries, aggravated assaults, hate/bias incidents, weapons offenses and several arrests across the county.
