With recent rumors of Heisman Trophy winning quarterback Jayden Daniels not wanting to play in Washington, his publicist Denise White has made it clear that Daniels is excited to be part of the NFL regardless of who drafts him.
@CBKreport, a popular social media account covering college basketball on various platforms, has released its “Top 25 Men’s College Basketball Programs of All-Time” list (seen below). Two local programs made the list- Georgetown University and the University of Maryland.
The Commanders have the second pick in the 2024 NFL Draft and it’s almost certain that the team will be drafting its future quarterback with the pick. With less than two weeks until the draft, ESPN’s NFL insider Adam Schefter seems to believe the pick will be Heisman Trophy winner Jayden Daniels out of LSU.
The Washington Commanders announced that they hosted 20 local prospects for a “local pro day” on Tuesday, April 9th. John Carlson is expected to play in his 1,000th career game tonight against Boston. According to the Washington Capitals, Carlson will become the first defenseman and third player in franchise history to play 1,000 games with the Capitals, joining teammates Alex Ovechkin and Nicklas Backstrom. Carlson is also a Montgomery County resident and his wife, Gina, is a MoCo native.
