Acting Inspector General Kevin B. Muhlendorf announced the launch of the WMATA Office of Inspector General (OIG) Whistleblower Award Program. Effective February 1, 2024, the WMATA OIG’s Whistleblower Award Program will begin evaluating information provided by whistleblowers for potential awards of up to $10,000. Information on eligibility requirements, directions on submitting a tip or complaint, and answers to frequently asked questions can be found at www.wmataoig.gov.

The Baltimore Ravens came into existence in 1996 when Art Modell brought over his Cleveland Browns- leaving behind the team’s history, colors, and record, due to an agreement with the city of Cleveland. After three consecutive losing seasons to start their tenure in Baltimore, the franchise has enjoyed plenty of success the last 25 years- winning Super Bowls in 2000 and 2012, and making the playoffs 14 times in that span. But are they a home team for Montgomery County? One Montgomery County man certainly thinks so.

Metro is advising customers of weekend construction for Maryland’s MTA Purple Line project, which will require the closure of four Red Line stations between Takoma and Glenmont. On Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 27-28, free shuttle buses will replace trains between Takoma and Glenmont. The Silver Spring, Forest Glen, Wheaton, and Glenmont stations will be closed.
