The MCPS winter season completed with many schools and coaches experiencing success and making memories that will last a lifetime. MCPS recently acknowledged the following teams from various sports. “Congratulations to the following MCPS high schools and coaches who won state athletic championships and state sportsmanship awards for the 2023-2024 winter season”:
MCPS has announced that beginning at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 21, Synergy SIS, StudentVUE, TeacherVUE and ParentVUE will be unavailable in order to facilitate an overnight transition into the Synergy 2024 upgrade.
On February 2, the Montgomery County Board of Education (BOE) and Dr. Monifa McKnight mutually agreed to part ways. Lakelands Park Middle School was in Shelter-In-Place following a threat the school received on Friday morning. At this time police do not believe the threat is credible, but the school will remain in Shelter-In-Place and will “end the shelter as soon as possible.” In communication sent to parents, the school has asked parents not to come to the school or call their children.
