The Glen Echo Fire Department has announced its Fall Open House will be held on Saturday, October 4, from 11am through 2:00pm. Their Fall Open House will once again be held at their Fire Station 711 on Massachusetts Avenue.
Congressional Plaza in Rockville will host its first-ever FALLFest on Saturday, October 11, bringing a full day of fitness, family fun, and seasonal celebrations to the community. The event runs from 9am to 2pm in conjunction with FITRow’s outdoor fitness classes in the plaza’s parking lot and will feature activities for all ages, free to attend and open to the public.

Montgomery Parks is inviting families to enjoy a day of nature, creativity, and fun at Children’s Day at Brookside Gardens on Sunday, September 21, 2025, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The free, family-friendly event is sponsored by Friends of Brookside Gardens and will offer hands–on gardening activities for children and a chance to explore the newly designed Children’s Garden.
The Harbor Bank of Maryland will celebrate a major milestone this month with the grand opening of its first Montgomery County branch in downtown Silver Spring. The event is set for Tuesday, September 23, from 11:30am to 1:30pm at 1010 Wayne Avenue. The bank opened for business earlier this summer.
