Today in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, MD, before the honorable Judge James Bonifant, defendant RebeccaThuc Hoang Vo, age 39, of Nashville, Tennessee, pleaded guilty to two counts gross negligent manslaughter by vehicle for the deaths of Pran and Pamela Sharma.
Sentencing is set for Feb. 4th, 2022 before the honorable Judge David Lease.
An update was provided by Wootton High School principal Kimberly Boldon on the situation that occurred at the school last week that involved police coming to the school to investigate.

There was a collision and vehicle fire this afternoon on Darnestown Rd And Tschiffley Square Rd in North Potomac.
One person was transported to the hospital with priority 2 trauma.
A water main break late this morning has now closed Dufief Drive, near the area of Dufief Elementary School, between Darnestown Road and Brandyhall Lane.
WSSC Water crews are now on the scene of the 12” break, which was the cause of Dufief Elementary School closing at noon today.
North Potomac House Fire Causes 1.2 Million in Damages
A fire at approximately 2:30am this morning caused approximately $1.2 million in damage on the 14100 block of Saddle River Drive in North Potomac, displacing two people. Both occupants were able to get out of the house without sustaining any injuries.
4/2 Update: Sadly, both occupants of the Toyota did not survive.
2020 has been a difficult year for restaurants. A few weeks ago we released a list of restaurants that have closed since March 17th.(not necessarily due to Covid, but since the day the initial restrictions were put in place).
While that list is long, there are still plenty of restaurants planning to open in MoCo in 2021.

Clear Skies Meadery, located at 325 Main Street in the Kentlands, is preparing for its soft opening in just a few days and we had the opportunity to stop by and check it out.
Clear Skies Meadery will have it’s soft opening on March 13-15 (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday) from 5pm-8pm) and every Friday, Saturday, Sunday at 5-8pm for now, until the grand opening on Friday, April 3rd at 5pm (ribbon cutting ceremony at 3pm).
