A Gaithersburg restaurant has been selected as Washington, DC’s representative on Cheapism’s 2026 list of “The Best Hole-in-the-Wall Spots for Fried Chicken in Every State.” It also earned a similar award from Tasting Table last year.

Montgomery County communities are among 30 across Maryland receiving funding through a record $32 million round of grants from the state’s ENOUGH Initiative, a program aimed at reducing child poverty.
