What’s a #Nando’sDash? Simply show up at the Nando’s PERi-PERi restaurant in Gaithersburg between 6 pm and 8 pm to get a free quarter-chicken, chicken sandwich, wrap, or pita.
The classic MoCo restaurant was located on 355 in Gaithersburg between Watkins Mill and Game Preserve Roads. It was owned by Aris Mardirossian (the founder of another classic MoCo chain, 6-12).
We’ve received word that SpiceLife Indian Fare will be taking over the location.
The dessert spot, which isn’t limited to mangos, should open in the first half of 2019.
As was rumored earlier this year, Silver Diner will be taking over the old Cafe Deluxe location in the same building as the AMC theaters and the upcoming Dave & Buster’s.
Half of the renovations to AMC have been completed, as the downstairs level is now open for business.
I spoke with a Zoes Kitchen employee who told me that tomorrow, Sunday, 9/30, will be their last day.
We’re told the closing does not have anything to do with Zoes being acquired by Cava and that it was due to issues with the landlord.
All theaters now have reclining seats and reserved seating (think iPic). The kitchen is not quite ready to go yet, but should open in about two weeks. For now, there is gourmet popcorn available as well a variety of milkshakes, including: Reese’s Pieces, Junior Mints, churro, Ghirardelli chocolate, and a “build-your-own” option.
More good news…prices aren’t expected to change for a few months. I was told possibly up to half a year! For now, an adult ticket after 4pm costs $12.31 ($10.66 from 12pm-4pm, and $6.15 before noon).
“Not only does the new school provide children an amazing fun outlet to learn discipline and respect while exercising but the new school is recognized as a Olympic level school, which gives interested students an opportunity to train to become part of team USA” says owner, David Abraham.
Abraham also believes “Senshi will be a great addition to the community as todays children spend more time behind a phone of table screen then in activities.”
The 1,800 foot restaurant is located at 706 Center Point Way, next to Starbucks. It was formerly home to another sushi restaurant, Hakuba.
Montgomery County Fire & Rescue PIO, Pete Piringer tweeted the photos featured in this article earlier today. According to his tweet, the two occupants of the vehicle were able to get out safely prior to the arrival of emergency personnel.
He told me that he recently went to a place in Bethesda that was able to use a procedure called SMP (scalp micropigmentation) to make it appear as though he had a full head of hair.
It looked great, and I could tell how happy and excited he was. He told me the place was called Scalp Allure and I knew I had to check it out.
