Updates on Six New Places Coming to the Kentlands Neighborhood
The construction on the restaurants coming to the paseo hasnt made much progress in the last few months. The paseo is the walkway that can be found next to MOD Pizza (where Chopt is going) on one side and Berries & Bowls on the other.

A List of Restaurant Closures in MoCo Since March 17th, 2020
Though this isn’t a list of closures caused by the pandemic, since there is no way to determine every reason behind a closure, 17% of restaurants (over 110,000) have closed since the time it started, according to Business Insider.
The new drive-thru Starbucks in the Kentlands was approved by the city of Gaithersburg back in 2018, wbut it took a little time for construction to get started.
If you frequent the area, you may have noticed things are moving fast. Signage is now up and the exterior is nearly complete.
Sonia Vee’s Cupcakes Will Have its Grand Opening on November 1st
The Kentlands latest dessert spot is located at located at 344 Main Street and will have its grand opening on Sunday, November 1st at noon.

Brio’s Chicken is Coming to the Kentlands
Brio’s Chicken, a Peruvian chicken restaurant, is taking one of the newly constructed storefronts found in the paseo in the Kentlands. The restaurant will be located right behind the old Wine Harvest location.
Do you remember the ice rink/ mini golf course in Kentlands?
Back in the early 2000s, the plaza area between Crepes-A-Go-Go and Thai Tanium held an ice rink during the winter and a mini golf course in the summer. This venture only lasted for a couple of years, but it was the source of fond memories for many during that time.

Things have progressed relatively quickly, and everything is now ready to go.

Back in July, we let you know that a new drive-thru Starbucks was being built in the parking lot in front of Lowe’s and behind Chipotle. Today, we stopped by to check on the progress of the new building.
The current Starbucks location will close when this new location opens. We heard that a local coffee shop might take its place.
Fleet Feet is Coming Back to the Kentlands
Back in July Fleet Feet Gaithersburg, then located at 255 Kentlands Boulevard, announced that it would be closing due to a 90% decline in revenue.
