As you may have been able to tell, one of our editors is on vacation at one of the most popular beach destinations for those in our area. After years of visits and savoring countless slices from different restaurants at every hour, we believe Trattoria Lombardi’s offers Ocean City’s best pizza– or at least, our favorite. The restaurant is located between 92nd and 93rd Streets (but known as Lombardi’s 94th St.) on Coastal Highway in Ocean City, Maryland, has been a staple for Italian cuisine and pizza since 1962. For nearly a century, Thrasher’s French Fries in Ocean City has reigned as the undisputed king of fries in Maryland. Renowned for using the freshest potatoes and frying them in peanut oil, Thrasher’s stands firmly by its tradition of not offering ketchup—a policy clearly communicated by signs at their stands. Instead, customers can savor their fries with just salt and vinegar. Below you’ll see the history of Thrasher’s as well as a few fun facts:

Brown has joined 17 other attorneys general in filing a multistate amicus brief opposing the U.S. Department of Justice’s cancellation of public safety program funding, supporting a lawsuit to block the cuts, which threaten over $20 million in grants to Maryland programs. Maryland is home to a single Cook Out location, located at 1115 S Salisbury Blvd in Salisbury, MD. This standout fast-food destination draws visitors from near and far. On our way from Rockville to the beach in Ocean City, we stopped by for a snack. Our drive took approximately 2.5 hours, departing Rockville at 10:00am on a Monday and arriving by 12:30pm (photos below).
